HOUSING POLICIES AND COOPERATIVE HOUSING
There is a wide spectrum of possible interventions in the field of housing, which are best to handle as part of an integrated housing policy. In our policy proposals related to housing, we build on both our research results and our practical experience from the field. We engage in concrete, applied projects (such as planning urban regeneration projects), and also produce policy proposals which lobby for the creation of new institutional models. The most important of these is our work to develop and implement the model of new rental housing cooperatives in Hungary. This engagement has both practical (e.g. community building) and conceptual (e.g. the development of possible financial mechanisms) aspects.
